Women’s Leadership Grant: Process and Application

JWFA is excited to offer a limited number of Women’s Leadership grants to promote professional development for the women leading our community’s nonprofit organizations, congregations, and day schools.

To qualify as an applicant, you may either:

  • Be a self-identifying Jewish woman in Atlanta working in a senior level position of a non-profit in the Jewish community
  • Be a group of self-identifying Jewish women who work together in senior level positions of a Metro Atlanta-based nonprofit in the Jewish community.

Please note: women working in local or regional offices of major national organizations are eligible in FY24.

These grants must be used for professional development purposes, such as continuing education, coaching, workshops, or courses. You may put together a professional development package of services that includes multiple types of professional development. For example: you may request to attend a training institute and then have three follow-up sessions with a coach.

Funds must be primarily used within the 2024 grant year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025), however we know that the timing of programs may differ; therefore, we have extended the timeline until December 31, 2025. Grants will be made directly to the organization on behalf of the applicant(s).

The estimated grant range is $3,000 – $5,000. Please note that for groups of women applying together as a single applicant, this is the total award and not a per person amount.

Eligibility

Grants are made only to tax-exempt organizations that qualify under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Grants are not made to individuals.

Applications are no longer be accepted. Any questions may be submitted via email to Melissa Scholten-Gutierrez, Interim Grants Manager, at grants@jwfatlanta.org. Decisions will be announced by mid-May.
