The Commitment

What makes JWFA unique is that all Trustees pool their resources and direct philanthropic investments together. Through "One Woman, One Vote," every Trustee has an equal voice in grantmaking decisions that positively impact countless Jewish women and girls.

Minimum Three Year Terms

New Trustees sign up for three-year cycles. Trustees renewing their commitment may extend for up to 5 years at a time.

Minimum Trustee Dues

  • For women ages 45 years or older: The initial commitment is a minimum of $3,000 annually for three years.
  • For women under 45: The initial commitment is a minimum of $1,000 annually for three years.
  • For members graduating from the most recent ACT cohort: The initial commitment is a minimum of $1,000 annually for three years. What is ACT?

The Benefits

  • The Grantmaking Process: Read applications, interview potential Grantee Partners, and make the final allocation decisions. Learn More About Grants
  • Policy & Funding Decisions: Participate in discussions and vote on JWFA policies and funding priorities.
  • Committee Involvement: Join standing and/or ad-hoc committees that align with your interests and expertise.
  • Biennial Retreat: Build strong connections with fellow Trustees and Atlanta's notable Jewish women leaders, and learn the latest on philanthropy trends and how to best maximize impact in Atlanta and Israel.
